What Create Note does
ActionClip generates a useful title where the destination supports one, using page, window, URL, app, or selected-text context. The integration preserves rich content where the destination route allows it.
Choose a destination for each operation where offered. An unavailable destination or unsupported operation shows an error instead of opening a different notes app.
How to use it
- Select the text you want to save.
- Choose Create Note.
- ActionClip opens the configured note app and creates a new note with the selected content.

Settings
Open the action's settings from:
ActionClip Settings → Actions → Create Note → gearNote App
Choose the shared note destination. Installed Marketplace note integrations join the list and show which operations they support.
Display
Choose how this action appears in the floating widget. This changes only its presentation, not what it does.
Changes are saved automatically.
You can also replace this action's icon from ActionClip → Actions. See change an action icon.
When ActionClip suggests it
Create Note is promoted for email selections and is also a general fallback for read-only text. You can pin it for constant access.
Enabled actions remain available in your Actions list even when Smart Suggestions do not promote them for the current selection.
Requirements and privacy
- The selected note app must be installed for non-Apple destinations.
- Changing Note App updates both Create Note and Add to Note.
- External note apps handle their own sync; ActionClip does not add a cloud SDK.
